A member who wants to stop service must tell the Cooperative at least 5 days before the requested disconnection date.
The minimum five-day notice period begins:
- On the day that the member telephones the Cooperative.
- When the member informs the Cooperative in person, at the business office.
- 3 days after the member has mailed the notice to the Cooperative.
If the member has signed a written contract for a term of years under an Agreement for Electric Service with the Cooperative, the member may stop service only under the terms and conditions as set forth in the Agreement for Electric Service.
The Cooperative must confirm the disconnection if the member asks.
