David Morgan Retirement

We congratulate David Morgan on his retirement from Ouachita Electric after 20 years of dedicated service.
David began his career at Ouachita Electric in 2006 as a satellite system installer. He later advanced to the role of computer technician before ultimately being promoted to Information Technology Manager, where he oversees all IT operations.
When asked about his favorite memories, David stated "One of my favorite memories—though there are many—was traveling to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina to help install satellite communication systems so people could contact their families. The Cooperative sent Jim and I to support the community in the aftermath of the disaster. Seeing the look of relief and joy on people's faces as they were finally able to let their loved ones know they were safe is a memory I will never forget."
When we asked David about what the Cooperative meant to him, he responded with "After leaving the military, I struggled to find where I belonged in the workforce. Although I had a degree in computer science, I got my foot in the door at the Cooperative installing satellite systems. After about a year, I became a computer technician and eventually worked my way up to Information Technology Manager. From the very beginning, the Cooperative just felt like the right place for me. It has been my second family for the past 20 years and will always hold a special place in my life and in my heart."
Thank you, David Morgan, for your dedicated 20 years of service at Ouachita Electric. You have been essential within the cooperative, and you will be greatly missed.
