Billing Procedures

Bills are issued monthly and provide a clear breakdown of your account, including usage, meter readings, payments, balances, and applicable rates or adjustments. Payments are due by the 22nd of the following month, with late charges applied afterward. If payment is not received, a shut-off notice is issued, giving additional time to resolve the balance before service may be disconnected. The cooperative also offers options such as payment arrangements or delays in cases of hardship, helping members manage their accounts while maintaining service.

E-Bill/Paperless Billing

Ouachita Electric Cooperative Corporation (OECC) offers an internet-based bill presentment and payment solution called E-Bill. Unlike other electronic-based payment processors that offer only a “snapshot” view of payment information, E-Bill allows posting of payments that can be viewed in real time. E-Bill will allow you to have access to your electric account information 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

Levelized Billing

Levelized Billing is a great option for residential members who want predictable electric bills without monthly surprises. Instead of fluctuating costs during peak heating and cooling seasons, your bill is averaged over time, making it easier to budget and plan ahead. While it doesn’t reduce your overall usage costs, it smooths out payments into a consistent monthly amount. Best of all, this service is free, helping you manage your energy expenses with greater confidence and peace of mind.
