Current Position Available > Apprentice Lineman Hampton District

The Apprentice Program at Ouachita Electric Cooperative Corporation in Camden, Arkansas is designed to train individuals in the skills and knowledge required for constructing, maintaining, and operating overhead and underground residential distribution (URD) lines, transmission lines, and substations. Apprentices work under the direct supervision of qualified foremen, journeymen, or servicemen, performing assigned duties safely while learning essential practices for line operations and maintenance. This role reports to a Line Foreman or assigned supervisor and emphasizes hands-on experience to prepare apprentices for advanced responsibilities in electrical distribution systems.

ATTENTION MEMBERS

Ouachita Electric will be scheduling an outage to facilitate upgrades to the Summerville substation. This outage will impact members served by the Summerville substation. The outage is anticipated to last up to 3-4 hours and is scheduled for March 2nd, 2026. The start time of the outage has not yet been determined, but we will inform members as soon as possible. We encourage our members to prepare for the planned outage in advance.
